Key facts
- Max leverage 1000x; max position $10M notional.
- Minimum margin $10 and minimum position size $500.
- At $2,300, a 1000x long is liquidated after a drop of about $1.20.
- ETH percentage moves are typically larger than BTC's, so the same leverage is riskier.

Liquidation distances in dollars
With ETH at $2,300, a long position is liquidated after these drops:
| Leverage | Margin for a $10,000 position | Drop to liquidation | Liquidation price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100x | $100 | ≈ $21.90 | ≈ $2,278.10 |
| 250x | $40 | ≈ $8.10 | ≈ $2,291.90 |
| 500x | $20 | ≈ $3.50 | ≈ $2,296.50 |
| 1000x | $10 | ≈ $1.20 | ≈ $2,298.80 |
A $1.20 move in ETH is everyday noise. If you want a position that survives more than a few moments, lower leverage is the main lever you have, since margin cannot be added later.
ETH vs. BTC at the same leverage
Liquidation is measured in percent, and Ether's percentage swings are usually larger than Bitcoin's. A 500x ETH position therefore tends to be liquidated sooner than a 500x BTC position. If you trade both, consider using noticeably lower leverage on ETH for the same risk.
How to open an ETH position
- Open the terminal, connect your wallet and make sure you have an available balance.
- Click the ETH tab, pick Long or Short and enter your margin.
- Set the leverage. The estimated liquidation price updates as you move the slider.
- Confirm. The position opens at the current ETH mid and shows up in your open positions with its liquidation price.
Good habits for ETH
- Watch for network upgrades, large unlocks and macro data, which often hit ETH harder than BTC.
- Decide your exit price before you enter. The calculator shows raw PnL at any exit.
- Keep most of your balance out of positions so one bad move does not end your session. See risk management.
Try it with a small size first
Connect a wallet, deposit at least 10 USDC and start with low leverage.
